Colombia’s new road links being planned

Plans are being drawn up in Colombia for a number of new tertiary roads in Valle del Cauca Department. A new highway will be built in Valle del Cauca department, while a new road will improve connections between Mulalo and Loboguerrero.

The North-East Expressway will provide a connection between the existing Dmitrovskoe and Yaroslavskoe Highways. The new route will measure 13km long and design work should be complete by the end of 2018, with construction intended to be finished by 2020. Once the new link is complete it should help reduce the city’s notorious peak time traffic congestion.

    Work to improve the 445km road link connecting Kenya with Tanzania should commence in 2018. The African Development Bank (AfDB) is intending to put US$300 million into the project but is also seeking co-funding.
