Plans are being drawn up in Colombia for a number of new tertiary roads in Valle del Cauca Department. A new highway will be built in Valle del Cauca department, while a new road will improve connections between Mulalo and Loboguerrero.
The Russian state road corporation, SC Avtodor, plans to increase the country’s road and highway network extensively in coming years. Key projects include increasing the length of highway by up to 12,000 km by 2030 and the construction of new transport corridors. Key links include connections with Europe - Western China, and a corridor from the border of Belarus to the border of Kazakhstan, as well as the implementation of important projects in various regions of the Russian Federation.
Plans are now well in hand in Australia for the US$4.04 billion Western Distributor Project in Victoria, due for completion in 2022. The project will be built under a new partnership between the Victorian state government and Transurban. The road project is supported by the Victorian Transport Association and will connect the West Gate Freeway to CityLink. Work is now commencing on the final stretch of the Wekiva Parkway, State Road 429, in Florida.
