Plans are being drawn up in Colombia for a number of new tertiary roads in Valle del Cauca Department. A new highway will be built in Valle del Cauca department, while a new road will improve connections between Mulalo and Loboguerrero.
A new elevated highway stretch is being planned for Bangladesh. This route will run between Shah Amanat Airport in Chittagong and Lalkhan Bazar and is intended to cut congestion at peak periods.
A new bridge could be built to improve transport connections between Uruguay and Argentina. The project was discussed by the heads of state of both countries recently. The bridge would be constructed to connect Zarate in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province with Nueva Palma, just over the border in Uruguay. The number of road deaths in France last year fell by 11% to 3,250, 403 fewer than in 2012.
Revealing the figures, Minister of the Interior Manuel Valls said they were the lowest number since the first national road death statistics were recorded in 1948.
