Colombian connection construction contract continuing

Work is continuing in Colombia on the Bucaramanga-Yondo 4G road project. The route includes the construction of a new 600m bridge, which is around half complete. When it opens, the Rio Sucio Bridge will improve connections between the La Pax and La Sorda tunnels. In all the work for the Bucaramanga-Yondo 4G road project is around 40% complete, compared with 28% in August 2019.

    The excavation work for the new La Quiebra road tunnel link in Colombia is close to completion. The drive is being carried out from both ends of the tunnel and should meet by November 2019.     A new transport plan for Colombia’s capital, Bogota, is intended to cut congestion. The plans are being drawn up by Bogota council's Urban Development Institute (IDU).
