Concesionaria Vial Andina (Coviandina) has won the tender to manage the 85.6km road connecting capital Bogota with Villavicencio. The package was awarded by the national infrastructure agency (ANI). The third stretch poses particular challenges to construction as it features 21 bridges and six tunnels, with the building work having commenced in 2016. The concession package for the route was previously handled by Concesionaria Vial de los Andes.
