Work on a new bridge spanning the Yangtze River in China is now underway. The Wangdong Yangtze River Bridge project is expected to cost US$758.6 million to construct. The bridge will be 38km long in total and is due for completion in 2015.
A new tolled bridge link is planned to connect the US states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The structure will carry traffic on Interstate 95 and span the Delaware River. Construction work for the new bridge is expected to begin next year and take four years to complete, with the new tolled link is expected to open to traffic during 2019. Plans are in hand for transport expansion in China. This includes major works in the Chinese provinces of Hubei and Hebei as well as the city of Yibin. A new bridge and road connection will be constructed in Cambodia. The bridge will span the Tonle Sap River, and together with the road, this will improve transport connections between Kampong Chhang Province and Kampong Thom Province.
