China's Anhui Province is planning key transport projects for 2012.

China's Anhui Province is planning key transport projects for 2012.

These include preliminary work for the Chizhou Yangtze River highway bridge, Yuexi-Wuhan and Ma'anshan-Chaohu highways. The authorities in Anhui Province are also planning to commence work on the Ningguo-Jixi, Xuancheng-Ningguo, Xuzhou-Guangming and Fuyang-Xincai highways during this year. Anhui Province intends to speed up work on the Ma'anshan Yangtze River highway bridge construction as well as the constructions of Zhenglou-Guolou, Huangshan-Qimen, Wuhu-Yanchi, Jixi-Huangshan and Suzhou-Sixian highways. In addition, the Liu'an-Yuexi-Qianshan and Liu'an-Wuhan highways will be completed in 2012.

    Plans are now well in hand in China's Hebei and Zhejiang Provinces to build new highway connections and boost transport infrastructure. In Hebei Province a total of 12 highway projects worth an impressive US$9.66 billion will commence in 2011. These new highways will add a total of 852km to the network of the province.     The Polish authorities are calling tenders for eight sections of a delayed stretch of the A1 highway. The 180km section is between Strykow to Pyrzowice and the tenders will be for design and construction work.
