China highway projects awarded to major contractors

A series of large highway projects have been awarded to major construction firms in China, following agreements with the authorities in Shaanxi. New highways will be constructed by China Gezhouba Group Corp (CGGC) to link Tingchang with Huang Long and Ningshaan with Shiquan.

A series of large highway projects have been awarded to major construction firms in China, following agreements with the authorities in Shaanxi. New highways will be constructed by China Gezhouba Group Corp (CGGC) to link Tingchang with Huang Long and Ningshaan with Shiquan. These highway projects are worth a total of US$3.51 billion.

890 China Railway Group Ltd (CREC) will construct highways from Xi'an to Famen Temple and from Hancheng to Huanglong in deals worth $7.47 billion.

890 China Railway Construction Corp Ltd (CRCC) will spend $2.895 billion to build highways from Heyang to Tongchuan and from Wuqi-to-Huachi. CRCC will also build a highway from Meixian to Taibai.

    Contractor China Railway Group (CREC) will carry out a major highway project in the Chinese province of Shaanxi. The project is for a 119km stretch of highway worth some US$1.96 billion in all. The project is being handled under the PPP model and will include the 39 month construction phase as well as the 30 year contract for operation.
