Chilean highway; design unveiled

The design of a stretch of Chile’s Americo Vespucio Oriente (AVO) highway has been revealed.

The design of a stretch of Chile’s Americo Vespucio Oriente (AVO) highway has been revealed. The new road section is intended to help reduce congestion in Chile’s capital, Santiago. The AVO project is now expected to cost US$896.5 million to build. Once complete in the second quarter of 2022, it will reduce journey times on El Salto Avenue and Principe de Gales Avenue.
