Bridge and overpass building in Indonesia

Indonesia will benefit from new bridges, underpasses and flyovers being built during 2018. The country’s Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing has plans to build 174 bridges as well as 18 underpasses and flyovers. The various projects have an average price of nearly US$12 million. Indonesia will benefit from new bridges, underpasses and flyovers being built during 2018. The country’s Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing has plans to build 174 bridges as well as 18 underpasses and flyovers. The various projects have an average price of nearly US$12 million. Some of the more important bridge projects include the Holtekamp Bridge in Papua, Riau’s Siak 2 Bridge and Maluku’s Wear Arafura Bridge. Meanwhile in Bali, the new Ngurah Rai Underpass will be built while in Aceh, a 900m flyover is planned and for Palembang, there are plans for two flyovers, with one measuring 650m and the other 450m.

    The new Bridge of Brotherhood and Unity, also known as Zezelj’s Bridge, across the Danube River in Novi Sad, Serbia, is officially open. The road and rail tied-arch bridge replaces the original bridge of the same name that was built in 1961, named after the designer Branko Zezelj. The designer of the new bridge is Aleksandar Bojović and the contractor was an international consortium of Azvi, Taddei and Horta Coslada. One of the two arches is 177m long and 34m high and the other is 219m long and 42m high.
