Bosnia tunnel project planned

Work on a new tunnel and highway link will commence in the second quarter of 2018 in Bosnia. The project is being managed by the country’s road company, Autoceste FbiH. The €550 million Prenj tunnel project will provide a new link between the Konjic-Mostar North road and the Mostar North-Mostar South road.

    Discussions between Serbia and Bosnia regarding the planned highway linking the two countries have yet to be carried out. The highway will join the two capitals, Belgrade and Sarajevo. However Turkey has said it will not enter discussions regarding its providing financing for the project until Bosnia and Serbia have determined the route the new highway will take.
