Border bridge being built between Thailand and Myanmar

A new border bridge is being built between Thailand and Myanmar. The second Friendship Bridge will connect Mae Sot in Thailand with Myawaddy in Myanmar, spanning the River Moei. The project is expected to cost some US$93.9 million. Construction will commence in early 2015 and the structure is expected to be completed by the end of 2015. The bridge will be designed with a weight capacity of 100tonnes.

    In Adelaide, South Australia, a new bridge has been constructed over the Southern Expressway. The 180m long bridge weighs 3,000tonnes and was slid into place over the weekend of the 25th and 26th November, 2017. The Main South Road bridge project has cost US$494 million (A$620 million).
