The Armenian Government will contribute $100 million while funding will also be provided by the 943 Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the 1054 European Investment Bank (EIB). Once the road is complete it will run through Armenia from the country’s borders with Iran and Georgia, while the route is expected to be open to traffic in 2017.
