Argentina developing new port road links

Argentina is developing new port road links for the Greater Rosario area in Santa Fé Province. Some US$1.21 billion will be spent upgrading transport links to ports in Ramallo, Timbues and Quequen. The projects will include work to upgrade port access roads, with a budget of $354.5 million being targeted at improvements to five road links in Santa Fé province.

Rivers to be crossed between Parana and Sante Fe include the Parana River, the Colastine River and the Sante Fe River, although it is not yet clear which route will be used. The project is expected to cost from US$600-800 million. This will be included in the Argentinian Government’s 2019 budget. The tender process may commence in October 2018. The work will be carried out under the PPP model.
