Angola road projects are being awarded

In Angola’s capital Luanda, three key road projects have now been awarded, with the work intended to help improve urban traffic flow and cut congestion at peak periods. One project will be carried out by the Chinese contractor China Railway 20 Group International. This project is worth some US$142.3 million and is for the second stage of the South-West Luanda Boulevard, which will run along the coast. In Angola’s capital Luanda, three key road projects have now been awarded, with the work intended to help improve urban traffic flow and cut congestion at peak periods. One project will be carried out by the Chinese contractor 890 China Railway 20 Group International. This project is worth some US$142.3 million and is for the second stage of the South-West Luanda Boulevard, which will run along the coast. Contractor 1330 Tecnovia Angola will handle the work for the other two projects. One is the $1 billion project for upgrade work to the Lar do Patriota Road and includes building viaduct sections as well as other infrastructure. Meanwhile the other is the $55 million project for improvements to Pedro de Castro Van-Dúnem Loy Avenue. The work on all three projects should take two years to complete and these form part of the Master Plan for the Metropolitan Development of Luanda.
