A new bridge inspection unit is carrying out vital work in Vietnam.

Built by 1481 Barin in Italy, the AB16/S machine has been mounted on a 2394 Volvo FMII 6x2 chassis.

The inspection unit features a bucket type platform with a 300kg load, which can be used both under a bridge and for overhead work. It offers a 16m maximum underbridge reach and a maximum overhead reach of 18.7m.

Maximum vertical depth underbridge is 20m while the unit can overcome bridge barriers up to 4m high and clear pedestrian walkways 4.1m wide.

    Italian access equipment specialist Barin has supplied one of its novel ABCLS units to a customer in Germany. The underbridge inspection machine is being used by rental firm Theo in Tecklenburg.
