7121 Hexagon Geosystems, a division of Hexagon AB, is acquiring French company Geodata Diffusion SAS. This deal further develops the portfolio of Hexagon Geosystems in design, measurement and visualisation technologies. With this move the company becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Hexagon. The Orphéon network covers the whole of France and its overseas territories. Geodata Diffusion serves a large customer base through its distribution network. Following the move however the operation will retain a level of autonomy within the Hexagon group. "Geodata Diffusion brings expertise in providing GNSS positioning services to its wide customer base. Together with the recent acquisition of Veripos through Hexagon, it will be an instrumental part in our ambitions in this field", said Juergen Dold, president of the Hexagon Geosystems Division.
