Sophisticated new technology is available with the latest Cat machines

Goodfellow Bros now have three of the specially-built, commemorative Cat D6 XE Dozers. These are special edition, high-drive electric drive dozers built specifically to celebrate Caterpillar’s production of 175,000 medium high-drive machines.

The D6 XE is the world’s first electric drive dozer featuring elevated sprocket design for increased agility and 35% better fuel efficiency, compared to the previous three-speed model D6T.

In addition, the D6 is outfitted with the Trimble Earthworks Grade Control Platform. It offers dozer operators cab-mounted portability, a user-friendly Android UI, and the convenience of a touchscreen. The system is designed to help operators do more in less time for increased productivity.

With no gears to shift, the electric drive provides maximum torque at all speeds and constant power to the ground allowing it to move up to 10% more material/hour. In addition to increased performance, the electric drive also offers durability and simplified diagnostics, lowering service needs and maintenance costs.
