The Autodesk Official Training Guide, is not just teaching the functionality of the programs says the company, but aims to show how the Autodesk infrastructure software workflows "can help owners and service providers on roads and highways improve productivity, optimise designs, and accelerate project approvals." The course simulates a roadways project from planning and design through visual communication and construction documentation using an integrated BIM workflow using the latest 3282 AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk InfraWorks, Autodesk InfraWorks 360, and Autodesk Navisworks Manage software. The Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite 2014: BIM Workflow for Roads and Highways guide is available in hard copy or eBook format by online purchase from Ascent publishing (%$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 oLinkExternal www.ASCENTed.com www.ASCENTed.com false http://www.ascented.com/ false false%>).

Wacker Neuson has unveiled its first dual-power mini excavator, based on the 803. As well as the machine’s standard diesel engine, an external electro-hydraulic drive can be attached to the excavator through a plug-and-play connector in the undercarriage, leaving the upperstructure with full 360 degree rotation. This makes the machine ideal for use in emission-free applications like internal demolition work.

  • Less damage for a low cost with SKF’s new development
    January 6, 2017
More machines, both mobile and stationary, are using centralised lubrication which helps to ensure that all points receive the required amount of lubrication, as lack of it could result in expensive bearing damage. Escaping lubricant can have a significant negative impact on the environment, and can also incur expensive clean-up and disposal costs. SKF has developed the Lincoln Hose Connection Control, which can be operated between -50 to +70 OC, this unit shows immediately and reliably when damage occurs.
