The Autodesk Official Training Guide, is not just teaching the functionality of the programs says the company, but aims to show how the Autodesk infrastructure software workflows "can help owners and service providers on roads and highways improve productivity, optimise designs, and accelerate project approvals." The course simulates a roadways project from planning and design through visual communication and construction documentation using an integrated BIM workflow using the latest 3282 AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk InfraWorks, Autodesk InfraWorks 360, and Autodesk Navisworks Manage software. Models brought to bauma by Soilmec included two new multipurpose hydraulic crawler cranes for heavy-duty applications. Among key features of the SC-70 and SC-90 is a design that enables easy transport and set-up on site. The cranes are modular for fast conversion between a range of applications, such as use with a hydraulic or mechanical grab, hydromill, chisel, vibratory driver or clamshell. New Tier 4 engines are available.

JCB will launch 427 and 437 wheeled loaders at Bauma, powered by Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim Cummins engines. First seen in prototype form at last year’s Intermat show, the two loaders are powered by the Cummins QSB6.7 engine, which offers a 9.4% increase in torque over the previous model. This drives through a lock-up converter and customers can choose a standard four-speed or optional five-speed transmission, which delivers a 16% drop in fuel consumption.
