4019 Bentley Systems is introducing a range of new software upgrades and solutions, while also expanding operations with key partnerships and acquisitions. Improved data flow between separate software tools has been an important driver for the latest developments from Bentley. The new CONNECT edition application portfolio is said to provides a more comprehensive modelling environment for infrastructure. Data can be moved more easily from one part of the project delivery stage to another, allowing more efficient design and construction for all types of projects.

Bentley has partnered with 342 Topcon and also with 1134 Siemens. The former is helping deliver a more seamless flow of data from the design office to the work site, and back again. The latter meanwhile is crucial in developing digital workflows and smart cities.

The key acquisition is for Action Modulers, a Lisbon-based business focussing on water modelling software. This deal comes at a time when flooding due to severe weather has hit the news worldwide and the software solutions include tools for dealing with weather and flooding issues, as well as developing more efficient drainage systems.
