Yanmar’s clever mini boom

Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe has designed a “spectacular” boom for its latest B7-6 Sigma mini excavators. The Sigma concept SV100 two piece boom allows a 360 degree front turning radius within 2.7m … ideal for tight and narrow urban roadwork sites.

    Yanmar Construction Equipment chose INTERMAT to reveal its latest tracked dumper development – the prototype C30R-2R – complete with swivel skip body. The 2,500kg skip can be slewed through 180 degrees, allowing material to be discharged anywhere around the front of the machine. In addition, the C30R-2R also uses a reverse drive console.     Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe is launching the HX19e, its first battery electric mini excavator.

    The new model weighs in at 2,296kg when equipped with a full cab and large capacity battery pack. Hyundai CEE says the compact machine will provide the ideal digging solution for urban utilities, landscaping and gardening, tunnel and basement excavation and for many local authority tasks, such as cemeteries and sports facilities.

    Tweaks to Yanmar’s mini excavator range has seen the firm introduce a new 2.5tonne ViO model and offer an angle blade option on its larger 3.5tonne ViO35-6, to increase its versatility. Yanmar’s ViO25-6 is an all-new model aimed at landscape contractors and rental customers, defined by its 2.5tonne operating weight that makes the mini excavator trailer-friendly for transport, without needing a CDL or large goods vehicle driving licence, said the company.
