The huge bauma 2013 construction equipment exhibition due in April of this year will be the biggest ever at the site in Munich, Germany. This event will pack even more exhibitors onto the city’s former airport site, with a record number of visitors also expected. Komatsu is now offering a larger hybrid excavator in the shape of its 36tonne class HB365LC. The new machine uses the same proven hybrid technology concept used in its 21tonne class hybrid excavator, although its larger accumulator package has been relocated to a position just to the left of the front end mounting.
Boasting the world’s largest crawler crane – the Sany 3600 –in its line-up at bauma China 2012, Sany is looking to make a big impression at the Shanghai-based event. The Chinese firm’s giant is claimed to have a lifting capacity of 3600tonnes and is said to benefit from the use of sophisticated design methods such as limit state design, digital prototyping and top-down design.
