Official UK Government figures reveal that convictions for traffic offences in England and Wales have been steadily increasing since 2013. Of concern is that there has been a 52% increase in convictions for dangerous driving in that period. There were guilty verdicts for 1.2 million traffic offences in 2006, according to an analysis of the data by IAM RoadSmart. The number of guilty verdicts for traffic offences then declined for seven years until 2014 when the total number of offences started rising again
GKD Technologies has introduced a link for 'intelligent workwear' to its proximity monitoring system. High viz vests or other workwear fitted with the link will display flashing lights and sound an audible alarm when the company's SensorZone system detects the wearer is in a danger zone.
SensorZone comprises a sensor system that detects the presence of workers near a vehicle and activates an alarm beacon, and transmits a warning to vibrating tags fitted to the workers' helmets.

Asphalt supplier BPH says Czech highway officials have been meeting with autobahn managers from Germany’s Leipzig region to discuss cold path repair methods on concrete surfaces. BPH, founded in 2013 in Königsbrück near Dresden in the states of Saxony, produces and sells Kaugummiasphalt and Macphalt, both products based on the Macfix Technology from Macismo.
