    The initial figures for the bauma 2013 exhibition in Munich reveal that over 530,000 visitors attended the event. The proportion of attendees from outside Germany was higher than before with 200,000 international visitors from 200 countries. It is worth noting that most will have had to brave the city’s notoriously expensive hotel charges during bauma as only Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are within a short drive from Munich.
