JLG has added another compact crawler boom to its range, the X15J Plus. “It is the most compact machine within its height category on the market,” said Jan-Willem van Wier, product marketing manager Aerial Platforms for JLG.
When folded down the X15J Plus is 3.4m long, 748mm wide and 2m high. Once extended, the boom’s tracks extend to 1.1m. “When working in a highway environment, this is the smallest stabilisation area in its height category: 2.8m by 2.8m,” said van Wier.

UK road safety charity Brake has praised police for their greater efforts to catch drink and drug drivers over the festive period, and welcomed news that drink drive arrests were down while breath-tests were up.
A total of 6,550 people were arrested in the month-long police enforcement campaign over Christmas and New Year, 573 less than during the same period last year, according to figures released by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO).

Manitou has extended its MRT Easy range of rotating telehandlers with the MRT2145.
Sitting above the existing MRT1840 with its 18m, 4tonne lift, the new MRT2145 offers a maximum lift height of 21m, and a 4.5tonne lift capacity. The increased capacity, said Manitou, is a result of using a new design of stabiliser that offers a wider footprint but retains a compact design when folded.
