VIDEO: Slo-mo in the snow, a Montreal winter’s tale

December 6, 2016

It’s that time of year again – at least in the furthest reaches of the northern hemisphere – when winter grips everything, especially roads.

Slipping and sliding is a hazard that most drivers will have occasion to fear. Sometimes it is a very slight feeling of the car shifting in a sideways direction and then quickly righting itself, with no help from the driver.

Other times, as in this video, the driver becomes a helpless passenger. No amount of sawing at the steering wheel or pumping the brakes will alter the forward movement of the vehicle.

Also, as this video shows, the gods of winter do not discriminate among drivers.

Happily, no one was injured during this slow motion multiple “pile up”.
