Loosely defined, an interchange is a road junction that uses grade separation and ramps to allow at least one highway to pass through the junction without intersecting another highway.

A simple definition for many apparently complex interchanges worldwide.

The thing about a road interchanges is that, as a driver, you fail to see how large – or complex – the structure is. This compilation, called the top 10 craziest intersections, shows you what you miss as you hurtle through an interchange - from the UK and France to the US and over to China and Japan.

    Groundworks contractor DCM Roadways, based in the southeast Wales town of Monmouth, has brought in an FAE MTM to ensure the best result possible for an access road project.
