The manufacturer’s Android platform for excavators and dozers automates the boom and bucket, offering a 30% boost to productivity while reducing operator fatigue.
Komatsu is now offering 3D machine guidance and payload metering across its excavator range. The technology is available for crawler and wheeled excavators, with features including dynamic payload metering.
Improving aggregate production and quality levels is not just about investing in the latest equipment but making sure existing machines are optimised - Claire Symes reports. Although the cost of fuel has dropped since last summer's high, reducing the cost/tonne of production is still high on the agenda for most quarry operators, along with improving quality.
Trimble’s GCS900 3D system for grade control is now available as an upgrade from the 2D laser-guided and sonic/slope systems already offered by Bobcat.
The Trimble GCS900 is extremely flexible and can be used on excavators, dozers, motor graders, compactors, scrapers, trimmers, and milling machines. The GSC900 cab be used both as a single unit, or as an upgrade from a GCS600 Grade Control System.
Trimble is gearing up to boost construction efficiency with a new level of machine technology – Mike Woof writes
The introduction of the latest version of Trimble’s VisionLink package will help allow contractors to reduce operating costs while boosting working efficiency, according to the firm. Trimble’s VisionLink system was developed in partnership with Caterpillar and includes tools for production monitoring.
This now offers customers greater capabilities, due in many respects to its increased versat
