The manufacturer’s Android platform for excavators and dozers automates the boom and bucket, offering a 30% boost to productivity while reducing operator fatigue.
Case Construction Equipment has unveiled the first three models in an improved range of wheeled excavators: the WX148, WX168 and WX188. The machine trio are said to benefit from the power and performance of a three-pump hydraulic system, with a dedicated swing pump, a new engine speed/working mode selection dial, a heavy-duty undercarriage and an improved operator’s cab. Trimble is introducing the Earthworks GO! package, aimed at use with compact machines. This is a significant development as it will allow users of small machines access to machine control systems, improving productivity and work quality.
The firm says that its Earthworks GO! offering allows users to deliver accurate grading with a simple, portable package. This compact machine control solution runs on Android or iOS smartphones. Scott Crozier is general manager of Trimble’s general construction division. H
