The new Hybrid Positioning system from Topcon is said to perform faster in the field than stand-alone robotic systems and is more versatile than RTK-only solutions. The latest Hybrid Positioning technology combines GNSS positioning and optical robotic measurements on one rover pole.
Topcon Positioning Group and Bentley Systems are planning to run a collaborative Constructioneering Academy initiative. The first session is being held in Livermore, California on February 13th, 2018. The two firms have joined efforts to provide opportunities designed to allow construction industry professionals to learn best practices in constructioneering, a process of managing and integrating survey, engineering, and construction data, to streamline construction workflows and improve project delivery.
Topcon Positioning Group has launched in Europe the Topcon SIRIUS PRO powered by MAVinci, an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) designed to produce the most accurate solutions for automated mapping of construction sites, pipelines, disaster areas, mines, quarries and myriad sites without regard to terrain.
