New products from Volvo Construction Equipment are emission-compliant as a matter of course, says the company, which will introduce next generation articulated haulers (ADTs), wheeled loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders. From the six-strong F-Series articulated haulers (starting with the A25F with a load capacity of 24tonnes to the A40F FS with 39tonnes) will be the 28tonne capacity A30F and the A40F.

Rising volumes of truck traffic counteracts the eco benefits of alternative fuels and energy efficient engines, a report by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) has found.
By optimising fuel systems and exhaust after-treatment packages, Perkins has increased the power density of its large engines as the firm heads closer to EU stage V emissions compliance.
A key example is the firm’s 1706J-E93TA. Previously, this 9.3 litre six-cylinder was offering a power output of 300kW. As it moves towards EU stage V certification, the power output has increased to 340kW.
