Guntert & Zimmerman is offering a new system of telescopic end sections for its concrete pavers, which allow contractors to change widths between pours. These are also said to meet tight smoothness specifications and allow a contractor to carry out width changes quickly.
Deutz continues to grow its engine line-up with the introduction at CONEXPO-CON/AGG of 12 and 13.5 litre engines, plus the announcement of an 18 litre range later this year. When launched, this will take the firm’s engine line-up from 2.2-18 litres, with power ratings of 25-620kW. The show also provided a first opportunity for US customers to see the company’s TCD 5.0 engine - launched last year at bauma in Munich - and the TCD 2.9 and TCD 9.0 unveiled recently at bauma China.
The Wirtgen Group reports that strong financial performance is expected for 2014. Full results are not yet available for 2014 but the privately held, family owned firm is confident for good results. Joint president Jürgen Wirtgen said, “Sales for 2014 will reach €1.95 billion.” He explained that for the first half of 2013, turnover reached €285 million, whereas for the first six months of 2014, turnover reached €329 million, a jump of 15%.
