New engine architecture from Perkins will help the firm deliver emissions solutions to meet future regulations. In Europe the Stage V requirements are being finalised but Perkins says that it will be ready with its new technology.
Engine manufacturer MTU, a division of Rolls Royce Power Systems, is offering an emissions flex package for new and used engines operating in countries where different emissions requirements and high sulphur diesel are in use.
It enables exhaust after-treatment and SCR systems to be deactivated simply by software, rather than hardware changes, said the company.
