New engine architecture from Perkins will help the firm deliver emissions solutions to meet future regulations. In Europe the Stage V requirements are being finalised but Perkins says that it will be ready with its new technology.
Engine manufacturer Deutz says that all of its Stage IV engines are ready for the proposed Stage V emissions legislation that will come into force in 2019/2020. Using Deutz Variable Emissions Technology (DVERT), the company says that it can combine or make dedicated emissions solutions for every market in which its engines are sold.
Perkins Engines is launching a range of additional engines to complete its offer to OEMs. The revised line-up will provide a global solution, with common mounting points and ancillary systems to meet a range of emissions standards around the world. The move will allow customers to buy a single engine family and specify a range of power outputs for sale in different territories, with reduced parts stock and improved commonality of components.
