The tender process is being restarted for a new bridge in Lowestoft. The project is expected to cost some €68.2 million. The bridge will be designed so that it can be raised, allowing vessels to pass underneath. This will be the third crossing spanning Lake Lothing. A new 225km expressway link in Vietnam will help boost connectivity between the Mekong Delta area in the south east of the country and Ha Tien Province. The project for the Ha Tien-Rach Gia-Bac Lieu expressway is expected to cost US$1.2 billion. The expressway will feature two lanes in either direction and will also connect with Vietnam’s National Highway 1A.
Work is progressing in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City for construction of the new Beltway No3. An additional US$128.6 million is being set aside from the city’s budget to speed up work on the highway. The new beltway will measure 90km long, will allow vehicle speeds of up to 100km/h, with from two to four lanes in either direction. The route is being built in four sections.
