Loxam is on road to Rio

Paris-based construction and civils equipment rental firm Loxam has taken a 25% stake in Brazilian rental equipment business Degraus, one of the South American country’s top five rental outfits, with a strong presence in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

  • Doosan machines for B2 highway project in Germany

    Thannhauser + Ulbricht Straßen- und Tiefbau of Fremdingen in Southern Germany, is currently upgrading the country's B 2 federal highway near the town of Roth and employing four new Doosan DA30 articulated dump trucks (ADTs) and a new Doosan DX490LC-3 crawler excavator for the earthmoving work. The machines belong to the rental fleet of Rühle Maschinenpark, based in Untermünkheim-Haagen, South West Germany.     Sidewinder UK has been using its novel road widener machines on a series of paving jobs, including smart motorway projects. Sidewinder UK has carried out work on the M6 smart motorway contract between junction 16 and junction 19. The company used one of its road wideners to place and grade the final layer of sub-base to the balanced central reservation in readiness for Tarmac Contracting to pave the base and binder courses.
