A senior LiuGong figure says the company’s keenly awaited 900E Series excavator is a “very key machine” for its future. Dave Beatenbough, vice president of the Chinese construction equipment manufacturing giant’s research and development arm, said production of the model at LiuGong’s Dressta base in Poland was expected to begin “within three months”.
Case has developed a concept wheeled loader to showcase new and developing technologies. The “Impact” is fully electric and features Case’s semi-autonomous “click & dig” system, but the most notable thing about the machine it its silhouette - it has no cab. It has been designed for remote operation.
“We can imagine in the future that we can drive the machine fully automatically from a kind of site control lounge,” explained Fabrizio Cepollina, head of construction for EMEA Case. “It could be interesting for dangerous areas such as demolition.”
Volvo CE is upgrading its L260 wheeled loader with the introduction of the H-series variant. The new model delivers a 15% increase in productivity while offering a10% fuel saving over the outgoing G-series model according to the firm.
