Komatsu Europe is now offering the versatile and compact PW118MR‐11 wheeled excavator. This midi excavator has a short tailswing and is powered by a low emission Stage IV engine, offering a 6% fuel saving over earlier models. The machine is said to be rugged and stable, with a class‐leading performance for its compact size. The machine is said to combine power, precise control and compact dimensions, suiting it to use for excavating tasks in narrow alleys or on road‐construction sites for example.
The firm
Komatsu has committed itself to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and says that by 2030 it will have halved its CO₂ emissions versus 2010. The aim is zero emissions.
Earthmoving equipment manufacturer Dressta is launching the first of three new hydraulic crawler dozers later this year, and has ambitious growth plans funded by parent company LiuGong, the Chinese construction equipment manufacturing giant. Guy Woodford reports
Dressta’s trio of new hydraulic crawler dozers represent exciting additions to the dozer market and are the first results of parent company LiuGong’s significant R&D investment in the Polish firm, which it bought in 2012.

Komatsu says that its new WA500-7 wheel loader offers improved efficiency and lower fuel consumption, as well as increased output. Weighing in at 333tonnes, the WA500-7 has improved operator comfort with a larger and more spacious cab fitted with ergonomic controls and offering better visibility.
