Kobelco has developed two new industrial machines for bauma 2016. The first is a high-reach demolition unit with a 24m boom and the second is a new dismantling machine designed to recycle vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life.
Develon is now offering the DX140RDM-7 demolition excavator. As with the firm’s three larger models from 31-61 tonne, the new DX140RDM-7 22.5tonne demolition excavator offers different configurations for the customer with a range of solutions to suit a range of projects. There is also a multi-purpose version that can be used for other applications on site as well as demolition.
An Indeco ISS 45/90 is proving essential for demolishing the old Kosciuszko Bridge in New York City. New York City’s old 1.9km Kosciuszko Bridge, which crosses Newtown Creek connecting Green Point, Brooklyn with Maspeth, Queens, has been out of service since April. By the end of the year, the polygonal Warren through-truss structure will be no more.
To replace the old bridge, in 2009, the New York State Department of Transportation planned the construction of two cable-stayed replacement bridges.
Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe (KCME) says that its SK45SRX-6E and SK55SRX-6E mini excavators now meet the Stage V emissions requirements, as well as providing high versatility for customers.
Caterpillar is now offering its versatile 352 UHD Ultra High Demolition Excavator. The machine can be used for demolition works at height, as well as for long reach earthmoving applications.
