Kobelco has developed two new industrial machines for bauma 2016. The first is a high-reach demolition unit with a 24m boom and the second is a new dismantling machine designed to recycle vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life.
Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe (KCME) is now offering its smallest excavator to the European market. The SK08, which has an operating weight of just 1,035kg, is a super-compact mini excavator that is suited for use in confined areas such as in demolition or tunnelling works.
Versatility is the key feature of Kobelco’s new SK380SRLC-7 excavator, with its short tailswing design allowing operation in restricted space areas. Operating weight varies from 36.8-39.4tonnes depending on the specification and the machine is powered by an Isuzu diesel delivering 210kW that meets Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements.
Having re-integrated its excavator and crawler crane businesses in the US, Kobelco is planning to ramp up production here, president and CEO Kazuhide Narake told a press conference at CONEXPO/CON-AGG. “We built our factory in Spartanburg and had our opening ceremony in July 2016,” Narake began.
The SK17SR-3E’s cabin now has a deluxe Grammar-branded reclining seat and there are wrist rests have been integrated to further reduce operator fatigue.
