Kobelco has developed two new industrial machines for bauma 2016. The first is a high-reach demolition unit with a 24m boom and the second is a new dismantling machine designed to recycle vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life.
Komatsu now offers excavators specifically configured for demolition work, with short tail machines featuring a level II Operator Protective Guard (OPG).
Located in Meeker, Colorado and serving the area for air transportation is Meeker Airport, a C-II general aviation airport. The FAA designation of C-II means the airport can accommodate aircraft with wingspan of less than 24m. Runway 3-21 at the Rio Blanco county-owned Meeker Airport had reached a point of wear and deterioration that required full reconstruction and upgrades to remain compliant with the FAA’s C-II requirements.
Liebherr’s R960 Demolition high reach crawler excavator has now been rolled out for the first time.
The machine, which has a maximum operating weight of 93.5tonnes, towered over Liebherr’s other models at its outdoor exposition stand. The R960 comes in height configurations of 28m and 33m booms and the attachment weight, including a quick coupler, is up to 3.5tonnes.
