Hitachi goes one step further

Hybrid-wheel loaders have never made it into production before – they’ve always been prototypes: but Hitachi has gone one step further than the rest of the construction industry, and operators could feel the benefit in lower maintenance costs and a longer product life-cycle

    A Hitachi excavator has enabled the creation of a subterranean six-floor car park in the centre of Paris. The ZX225USRLC-3 was used to dig deep below ground in the French capital and remove 65,000m³ of earth before construction of the facility could begin. For Saperfe Travaux Publics, a sub-contractor working on the project, the Hitachi machine was the only specialist equipment required. The clamshell telescopic arm of the ZX225USRLC-3 can reach depths of up to 25m.

    Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) has created two new remote machine monitoring systems that have been developed as part of its Global e-Service online application. Available in many languages, Owner’s Site and ConSite are introduced for Zaxis-3 and Zaxis-5 medium and large crawler, and wheeled excavators, as well as ZW-5 wheeled loaders. Global e-Service allows owners to monitor their Hitachi construction machinery remotely. Machines send operational data on a daily basis via GPRS or satellite to w
