Trimble shows off its Trimfleet Mobile Connect communication device and introduces the H2250 Haul Truck Monitor for improved data collection for machine operators and fleet managers - part of the connected quarry solution package from Trimble. The monitor provides information of tonnage on board, speed, hazards and the phase of the operation in which the truck is operating.

The US software, hardware and services technology company showed off the tech with a driverless Kobelco SK 210 excavator being overseen by the operator of a Bomag BW213 BVC compactor.
Martin Wagener, Trimble regional sales manager DACH, said the system is suitable for a number of industries including roadbuilding and construction.
The Trimble Quantm alignment planning system allows road designers to reduce planning time and deliver projects with minimal environmental and social impact at a lower construction and operating cost. The system, on show at Conexpo 2014, analyses millions of alignment alternatives and returns a range of options to the planning team for consideration. When new data becomes available the Quantm system can quickly recalculate more alignment options.
