  • Cameroon highway connection being upgraded

    Construction company Sogea-Satom will carry out the US$101 million contract to upgrade Cameroon’s West Doula highway. The firm is a subsidiary of French contractor Vinci. The work is for a 13km stretch of Cameroon’s RN3 National Road and will take 30 months to complete. The work is being financed by the French development agency (AFD). Sogea-Satom previously won a contract to build a bridge on the RN3 route.
  • Colombian highway connection being built

    Construction work is well underway for Colombia’s Autopista Mar 1 motorway project. The route is due for completion in 2022, connecting the country’s Caribbean and Pacific coasts through Medellin. The project includes construction of the Tunel de Occidente. A finance package worth US$713 million in the shape of loans from eight banks is helping fund the project. Work is also ongoing for the Conexio Norte routelinking Remedios with Caucasia.
