Cat's new system is in command. Once upon a time you would have been laughed at for saying you could operate a dozer on a construction site 1,700 miles away - but not anymore, say Caterpillar.
Caterpillar is setting up a regional training centre in Dubai. This new technical and sales training centre will be used to support more than 7,000 Cat dealer technicians in the Africa and Middle East (AME) Region. The company is investing over US$7 million in the facility, which will cover an area of about 1,700m2 and employ 40 personnel. Most of the team will be high-level technical staff who will primarily be recruited from the region.

Caterpillar’s new 390F hydraulic excavator uses a C18 Cat ACERT engine to meet the tough new Tier 4/Stage IV emissions regulations. The 92tonne 390F burns 7% less fuel at the same time as delivering more productivity than its 390D predecessor. Fuel-saving features include standard or economy power modes, to allow the operator to match operating speed to application.

Caterpillar is introducing the new Cat 775, the first in a new next-generation of off-highway haul trucks for the company. Distinguishing it from the previous 775 models, this 65tonne capacity hauler is engineered to enable fully autonomous capabilities in the future.
“The design of the Next Gen 775 represents a significant leap forward in off-highway truck technology, offering unmatched power, efficiency and safety features,” said Tony Fassino, group president of Caterpillar Construction Industries.
