Caterpillar has added the AP300D wheeled paver to its range, providing a highly mobile, compact machine that is said to be ideal for car parks, urban streets, cycle and walking paths. Weighing 7,400kg, the machine is easy to transport yet offers a paving range of 1.7-3.2m wide. With extensions, the AP300D can pave up to 4m widths. A tight turning circle and a rapid 16km/h travel speeds make it easy to navigate the machine around the job site.

Two important routes in Germany, the A9 and A6 autobahn highways, have benefited from the use of the latest Wirtgen slipforming machines.
