Doka’s new UniKit is a modular shoring system for heavy civil engineering applications. Designed to be quick and easy to erect in a number of different configurations, UniKit provides a steel-girder like structure which can support loads from bridge deck or beam concrete pours.
“It’s an efficient way to construct infrastructure without stopping existing infrastructure – such as roads – running underneath,” said Doka’s director of research and development Johann Peneder.
Perkins Platinum Protection is an extended warranty package that has been introduced for new Perkins engines. With a flexible structure, the Platinum Protection scheme is available from two to five years duration, and for up to 5,000hours, offering comprehensive cover for up to 100% of components. Perkins said the warranty covers OEMs from unexpected repair bills and cover must be upgraded before the standard engine warranty expires.
CONNECT from Mecalac is a new quick coupler system being launched on the company’s new 12MTX, 10tonne wheeled excavator.
The coupler system can be operated from the cabin, and says Mecalac, the loss of an attachment is virtually impossible.
The system reduces by 70% the weight of the previous Mecalac quick coupler, and it can be used to pick up all types of attachments, buckets, shovels, loading forks or hydraulic attachments.
