Ammann unveils containerised QuickBatch mobile asphalt mixing plant

In response to customer demand, Ammann has developed a new QuickBatch 180 containerised mobile asphalt mixing plant that is easy to transport and quick to set up. It uses a simple “plug and play” electric system.
The Fayat Group has won an Intermat innovation award for its new TRX100 asphalt plant. The new design from the firm was the winner of Equipment & Machinery Award in the Roads, Minerals and Foundations category, which was awarded on 18th January 2018. The TRX100 is a new mobile continuous asphalt plant able to handle up to 100% recycled material in its feed supply. Designed for fast relocation, the machine features an innovative low temperature production process.
Swedish contractor Peab Asfalt generally works on major road and highway projects in the inland portion of the country. However the company has shown itself able to take on a considerable challenge, by repaving an airport runway.
Fayat is aiming its new 6tonne capacity asphalt mixer at a growing market for recycling. This larger capacity asphalt mixer is well-suited to handling mixes containing recycled asphalt according to the firm. To ensure good quality output, mixing times have to be longer when using recycled and virgin feed materials, so as to ensure homogeneity.
