The conventional tailswing machine has an improved lift capacity, thanks to a return to a box-section boom, with an 11% increase in digging depth. Dump height and reach are also improved, and the mini has a new dozer blade for greater pushing performance. Upgraded hydraulics, with longer travel valves increase control and allow straight line tracking while using upper structure functions.

A new satellite monitoring system, JCB LiveLink, is being introduced on the full range of JCB machines.
